Craft Fair

I was so nervous.

I had no idea what I was getting into.

I had 7 days to prep for my first Craft Fair.

I worked for hours on end putting together all my clips.

When I walked into the gym where it was being held I saw HUGE displays set up full of gorgeous things.

I had a card table, a sheet, and a mirror.

I was totally out of my element.

I called James in tears. Thinking I was going to be an epic failure.

For the first 3 hours I didn't make one sale, and only had a couple of people even walk by my table. I was devastated.

But around lunchtime I made my first sale!
(Granted it was to one of my best friends, but I'll take it)

Things really started to pick up around lunch time. And needless to say I wasn't a HUGE failure.
I did better than I had expected.

So no tears when I got home. And I even came home with some money!

God is always in control and I'm so thankful to my hubby, and my sister for praying for me during the sale. What would I do without their prayers?!

These were my best sellers.

Travel Bugs

Josiah at 27 months

I was inspired to tell a traveling story from this post.We have only taken the boys on one plane ride. We've always just opted to drive, we have more control over the situation when we drive.

Every other Christmas we usually drive to Kansas from Colorado to visit James' grandparents and extended family.

Josiah was 2 and I was 7 months pregnant.

Note the big belly...yep that was Micah : )

The drive out to Kansas went wonderfully! Josiah was a champ. He thinks it's pretty cool to be able to watch movies for hours on end!

On Christmas Even in Kansas there is always a big party at James' grandparents house. It's always soups, and appetizers. Which is normally perfectly wonderful!

Not this year.

This was the year that James' mom decided to make her delicious salmon soup. I gobbled mine right down. It tasted amazing! (I know what your thinking....but it really did taste delicious).

The only problem was that it made the house smell like fish, and by the time dinner had rolled around James wasn't feeling great. He went to lay down and that's when the vomit began. Then out of nowhere it hit all of us who had traveled to Kansas. And the smell of the salmon soup became the bane of our existence!

There is nothing worse than a puking baby!

This is how Josiah looked when he first started to feel sick.

By about 2am James, Josiah, and me were SO sick and felt SO dehydrated that we decided it was time to go to the ER. We were worried about my baby not getting what he needed; worried about Josiah getting to dehydrated, and worried that James (who has a heart condition) was not getting what he needed.

So we drove an entire 3 min to the smallest ER you can imagine, where James' 2nd cousin treated us. But because I was pregnant I was sent home without any medication : (. The suppository (yeah...that was fun to give my baby boy) seemed to work right away and we finally got some rest. But I have to say that it was probably the worst Christmas ever.

This is a pic of my boys on Christmas morning : (

And the car ride home was even worst. Josiah was still throwing up the entire ride home. And I was still 7 months pregnant and feeling like death.

I have never been SO grateful to be home. In my own bed. With Josiah in his own bed.
Thank God everything was ok with the my baby Micah.

Travel with sick babies = NIGHTMARE.

But it always reminds me to be thankful that every other day they are Healthy!

Blessed to have health in my babies!

Organization...Baby Steps

...If Only This Was Me...

I want to be organized SO badly. I can't seem to keep anything together and neat.

I'll give myself a little slack seeing as how I have 3 kids 4 years old and under, but still....

One of the areas that drives me insane is my diaper bag. Everything gets tossed in there. Broken crayons, spit up rags, paper, I've even found Chick Fil A sauces in there.
It's a hot mess in there. So today I've decided to organize it.

Baby steps.

Here's what it looked like when I dumped it out....

I know what you're thinking...."oh my"

So here's what I decided I needed to do:

Downsize and Package:

I had lost my awesome little diaper organizer so this will have to do.

Boys snacks in one bag (apple juice, granola bars, trail mix and fruit snacks). And Ella's bib, spoon, cereal, and baby food in the other.

I had about 3 different pairs of socks, 8 headbands, and a million other articles of clothing in the bag for her, so I downsized and decided on ONE outfit (including headband of course) and fit it in a bag.

Done!

And I feel better already. We'll see how long this will last!

Wish me luck!

What I Love About...Family Photos

Time for another addition of What I Love About Mondays

So here's to what I love about....Family Photo Ops

Over Thanksgiving we had some family in, who of which included James cousin, Amy. She's an awesome photographer and agreed to snap a few shots of the fam for our Christmas card.

And you would never believe it...the kids were on their best behavior. I'm not lying. They just sat there like angels and smiled for the camera and even "posed". It was an act of God. Divine intervention. We spent about an hour getting ready and all of 5 min to get these amazing pics. And it was even on Ella's 6 month birthday. Amazing. These are the best pics we have ever taken!!

What To Do...Paint the Tub

Right now we have one car that is safe to drive in the snow. So that means when it snows and the roads are icy, James takes it to school.
This happened on Thursday the 1st. The boys were antsy. I thought they were out to make me cry. They were fighting, arguing, and complaining.

And I knew they were bored out of their minds!

So what did I do? I got on Pinterest (cause I'm an awesome Mom)

I looked up something to do with antsy boys.

I found this.

Genious.

Water colors in the bathtub.

They could have done this for hours. And the best part was, right after making this HUGE mess. It cleans right off and so do they! I just turned on the shower.

It was one of the best things I've done with the boys on a ridiculously cold, and snowy day!

I think I blinked

Josiah is in preschool, and Kindergarten registration starts today.
Granted he's not going to K next year, but just knowing he could is killing me.

{This is his new smile...I'm not loving it...but I'll miss it when it's gone}

Micah is growing out of his clothes, and shoes, and looks like a BOY not a toddler.

Ella is army crawling, waving bye bye, and saying "da "da", and giving open mouthed kisses.

When did I blink?

This can't be happening! My babies are growing up so fast!

I feel like I try to savor every moment with my kids, and take a mental picture every time I want to remember a specific thing. But those memories are fading fast. Ella is only 6 months and I can barely remember how she felt in my arms in the hospital.

I feel so conflicted. I think I want another baby.

WHAAAAAATTTT?

I know, I feel crazy just thinking it. But I feel like my heart has so much more room for more kids. I'm conflicted because I know I've had three c-sections, and my body struggles through each delivery, but I really want to be pregnant again.

I am conflicted because my Spirit tells me to adopt, but I still want to have more kids (maybe if I have 4, 1 will resemble me and not their father).

I know it's a hormonal change going on right now, but I'm just SO sad that they are growing up so quickly.

I cried myself to sleep the night Ella started to army crawl. I'm a mess. Not just a regular hormonal mess....a big hot mess. I love my babies. This is killing me to watch them grow up!

Is there something we can give them to stunt growth and keep them like this forever (maybe just minus the terrible two attitude).

{To Do List}

I'm overwhelmed. I'm nursing baby Ella as I type this....(yes, literally)
{by your third you can type and nurse at the same time}.

I have a TO DO list that's kicking my booty!

While I am so thankful for my new found creative outlet, and the "creative juices"; I am also feeling overwhelmed by all of the projects I want to get done!

So on my TO DO list:

1: My Bible Study:
{Ironic...right?}

2: Finish my Family Rules Sign:

3: Make Ella a holder for all of her bows and clips:

4: Finish, deliver, and mail some of the clips I've sold

5: The Dishes, The Laundry, and Everything Else Home Related...

6: Return Clothes I've borrowed for Ella

7: Go To The Bank

8: Try a few new ideas I've come across:

9: Makes the gifts for my MOPS ladies:

10: Christmas Shopping/Crafting

And yet...here I am typing....
