I was getting really tired of coming up with a new wreath every season.
I'm thrifty. Okay lets be honest…I'm cheap.
I hate spending the money to buy or make a new wreath.
So I thought I'd be super clever and make ONE wreath that can serve through multiple seasons!
VELCRO!!
Genius, right?
Just velcro your flowers or "fixings" right to your wreath, and change them out by season.
Here's how to do it!
Here's where you can get really creative. I made flowers first. But for my other seasons I thought you could make hearts for valentines day….shamrocks for St. Patty's day…well…you get the idea.
Cut squares of velcro. Mine are about 1"x 1"
I bought this twig wreath at Wal-Mart for $3.50.
Make sure you space your squares out far enough apart to allow room for all of your different "
"fixings"
*sorry for all the multiple uses of the word "fixings" I know it's not that clever*
Something else to think about when making your "fixings".
If you don't have a covered porch you might not want to put felt or any other fabric on your wreath. It may deteriorate with harsh weather.
Just a thought.
And there ya go!
Isn't she pretty. I love it! I'll be adding more to it, when I get the chance. More posts to follow and ways to add new "fixings".
