My Avengers

Happy Halloween!

 Ella is Black Widow

 Josiah is Iron Man
Micah is Captain America

 "Avengers Assemble!"
I love that the boys told me
"You have to say 'Avengers Assemble' if you want us to get our costumes on"

Seeing as she has no hair…a bright red feather will do…right?

She hated her costume at first….
Thankfully she got over it.
Phew…

I do love a theme Halloween after all, and they couldn't be the Avengers without Black Widow.

A Virginia Weding

I had the opportunity to go to my Dad's cousin's wedding in gorgeous Virginia; without my children.
Granted, I had to leave my husband at home too.  I missed him more than I missed the chaos of the three little ones.
I have lived in Colorado for over 10 years now and I adore Colorado. But after seeing Virginia in the fall, I think I have a State mistress.

It was stunning! And the wedding was set inside of a poster.

Groom's Step Mother, The Groom, Me & Mom

I even had the opportunity to go on a date with my Daddy.
Wine tasting at the adorable Unicorn Winery.

Yep! Wine slushies, and they were DELICIOUS. Of course!

The rehearsal dinner was delish (of course) and it was nice to have "adult time" with my parents.

The wedding was stunning and I was so excited to have a reason to get dolled up.

The stunning bride!

My adorable parents.

I might just post a tutorial on how I did my hair.

Looks like we were photo bombed.

But I love to dance. And dance, I did.

I have decided I look quite odd when I dance.

And with that my dreams of being on So You Think You Can Dance were destroyed.

Fun, none the less.

Twine Wrapped Bottle

This is my second installment of my MOPS craft series.

I had given a little talk about frugal living and I thought there was no better craft than giving new life to an old thing!

Enter….the twine (or for MOPS, yarn) wrapped bottles.

I had each mom bring her own jar or bottle (I used a salsa jar) to wrap and I provided the following:

Hot Glue Gun
Rubber Cement
Yarn (or twine)
Flowers

Start by putting a strip of hot glue on the bottom ring. You want to make sure it sticks well.

Then use the rubber cement to wrap the rest of the bottle.
It's less expensive and it won't burn your fingers!

I then used hot glue on the top of the jar to ensure it wasn't going to unravel.

Glue some grass or moss around the top of the ring and then fill with seasonal flowers.
I love this because it can be changed out for each season.

Right now I'm loving it filled will bright colored poppies.

Pumpkin Patch 2012

This is my favorite time of year.

I always thought it was MINE. I had the deranged idea that I was the only one in the world who loved fall. Well, turns out everybody loves fall as much as I do.

But... going to the pumpkin patch is by far one of my favorite things to do with the my family.
So I just had to share the pics with you.

 This is Ella "saying" cheese

 I love his giddy grin!

That boy was willing to smooch a goat.

That go cart was quite the workout!

This is their "Alien" pose. Ok….

This girl loves popcorn almost as much as I do.

I'm thinking that maybe in a few years I'll be able to get a better pic of all the kids on the pumpkins.

Fall outfits are truly the best!
